What is OWL Carousel?

OWL Carousel Considerations

jQuery Dependency: Requires jQuery. If your site doesn't use jQuery elsewhere, the combined bundle adds ~100KB. Consider alternatives for jQuery-free projects.

Maintenance Status: OWL Carousel 2 is in maintenance mode. Last significant update in 2018. Bug fixes only—no new features expected.

Modern Alternatives: Swiper (no jQuery, more features), Slick (similar API), or CSS scroll-snap carousels offer alternatives. Evaluate for new projects.
